Your chance for conception decreases by 4% for every point your BMI rises over 29. For example, a BMI of 33 means you have a 16% lower chance for becoming pregnant.
Smoking cigarettes, drinking alcohol or caffeine by either partner can result in lower fertility in both men and women.
There is no particular diet or food that is known to improve or decrease your fertility.
Women should take prenatal vitamins before pregnancy. It doesn’t improve your fertility but does reduce the risk for certain types of birth defects should you become pregnant.
