Uterine relaxants (Tocolytics): These are the drugs that prevent preterm labour and immature birth by suppressing uterine contractions. Drugs used to delay premature uterine activity include magnesium sulfate, beta-mimetics, oxytocin antagonists, calcium channel inhibitors, and adrenergic beta-receptor agonists.
Oxytocin antagonist:
Atosiban: It blocks oxytocin receptors and decreased uterine contractions.
