David Fincher's new Netflix movie, Mank, starring Gary Oldman, is about the screenwriter for Citizen Kane. Kane fans might get a kick out of seeing Orson Welles, Louis B Mayer, William Randoplh Hearst, Marion Davies, and of course Herman Mankiewicz portrayed in Mank.
However, Mank is a slow movie in black and white. It's not a typical David Fincher film. What's wrong with it? Why might Netflix viewers turn Mank off in the middle of it? This review describes some of the problems typical viewers might have with Mank.
