There are three everyday things that you may be doing – but not as well as you could be. In this video, I talk about bettering yourself. I suggest how to do things differently in order to achieve better outcomes.
We sometimes act without any real purpose. We fail to get as much out of our efforts as we would if we put more thought into why we do what we do. What’s your motivation for self-improvement?
Be mindful of the opportunities that life presents. Think about your routine activities and challenge yourself to invest a little more effort into them. Keep improving, continue learning, and persist in bettering yourself.
Here are a few ideas for how to do things differently:
1. When you network, don’t interact with others simply for the sake of making connections. Instead, make it your mission to learn from the people you meet. When you’re having a conversation with someone who knows more about a subject than you do, ask questions and learn something new.
2. Journaling is great for keeping track of what happens – but why not take it one step further? Write down what you learn. Journal in trifectas: record three insights for the day, three tasks you want to accomplish, and three things you’re grateful for.
3. You read, but do you implement what you learn? Here’s how to read more deeply: Highlight important phrases to increase your comprehension and retention. Summarize what you read. And pass along what you learn from reading by teaching someone else what you know.
Bettering yourself starts with stretching yourself. Focus on how to do things differently and how to improve and grow, so you can get the most out of everything you do.
