Heads up!
There is a traffic alert for drivers who are planning to take State Route 8 Southbound in Summit County on Friday morning.
Drivers are being asked to avoid the area near Stow after a fatal crash has shut down a stretch of State Route 8.
According to the Ohio Department of Transportation, State Route 8 Southbound is closed between East Steels Corners Road and Graham Road.
According to the Stow Police Department, the road is closed after an overturned gasoline tanker truck caught fire, resulting in a fatal crash.
3News' Danielle Wiggins advised drivers heading from Cuyahoga County to Summit County to take I-77 Southbound instead.
There is no estimate from ODOT on when the road is expected to open back up.
