Somkiat “Kong” Chantra made history in March, becoming the first Thai to win a world championship motorcycling grand prix.

He followed up by finishing second at the Argentinian Grand Prix in April. His hat-trick of podium places came in round seven at the French Grand Prix on May 15. There, he mastered the famous Le Mans circuit to cross the line in third.
