Peak bloom season has just passed, but the garden is still loaded with color. It's also loaded with wildlife. I've had half a dozen or more species of butterflies in my native garden every day for the past week. In this video, you'll see seven species of butterflies, various bees, a snowberry clearwing moth, a rabbit, a goldfinch, wrens, and more.
Current blooming species include Purple Coneflower, Gray-headed Coneflower, Black-eyed Susan, Rattlesnake Master, Joe Pye Weed, and Blue Giant Hyssop.
I plant native plants to help save wildlife including, but not limited to, pollinators. We need homeowners and business owners to make a difference and use their land to restore habitat.
