ILA is the moniker of the 25 year old singer-songwriter Ilayda Cicek. Her music is characterised by her unique voice and unadulterated emotions which unmask the inconsistencies of life. Expect a wayward, tender and honest artist accompanied by Cas Kinnaer and Sam Smeets.

Her debut EP 'ILA', containing 4 live-recorded songs, was released in February 2018 and her second EP 'Montage' was released in autumn 2019. She was runner-up in the 2017 Limbomania competition and was selected for Humo's Rock Rally and Studio Brussel's De Nieuwe Lichting. She's artist in residence at the Muziekodroom in Hasselt.

Since 2017 she's played over 45 shows at Ancienne Belgique, Trix, Handelsbeurs, Muziekodroom, Absolutely Free Festival, We Are Open, PIT Festival, Theater Aan Zee, DVERS,...

Recently ILA returned to the studio with Cas Kinnaer (drums) and Sam Smeets (guitar) to record a brand new mini-album supervised/engineered and recorded by producer Bert Vliegen (Whispering Sons, Horses, Teen Creeps) and mixed by Michael Badger (King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, SONS). With their single 'Leave Me Dry' they won Studio Brussel's 'De Nieuwe Lichting' contest and reached the #1 spot in 'De Afrekening'. In the summer of 2022 they will play a show at Rock Werchter festival.
