Larry Heard should be in no need of an introduction. As a producer, he’s been responsible for some of the most enduring house music anthems, including ”Mystery Of Love,” ”Bring Down The Walls” and, of course, “Can You Feel It.”
Larry Heard discussed his musical education in Chicago, meeting a kindred spirit in Robert Owens, being sampled by Kanye West and the stories behind some of his many aliases in this public conversation as part of the Red Bull Music Festival Moscow 2018.

Growing up in Chicago in the ’70s and ’80s, Heard witnessed the birth and death of disco while drumming in a broad range of bands. Swapping drums for drum machines as an outlet for his myriad musical ideas, Heard dove into the burgeoning house scene and quickly became one of its most exciting young producers, counting legendary DJs like Frankie Knuckles and Ron Hardy as early supporters. Over 30 years later, his work has refused to diminish in importance while fans old and new remained captivated by his live shows.
