I didn't expect the Other Ending to hit me this much, I was in genuine tears by the end of it. And I NEVER cry.
In this final episode of Enigma of Fear, we go all out. We conclude every missing puzzle hinted at in the agents' rooms and find the secret code to enter the secure room inside the Unhaunted One Wing. There we find out that Sofia Besatt and Verity got romantically involved and gave birth to Mia (ME?!) and inside that room we find Sofia's gravestone. Upon doing the Immersion Ritual on it, we then get transported to Jaser and Verity's fight in the Cathedral, where we find another secret code. Upon entering that code in the start menu, we get taken to the beginning of everything, Jaser's birth. From there we are able to play through his life to learn his back story and understand how and why he is the Unhaunted One. He is part of a prophecy, he has no choice but to fulfil it. And so, he lives stuck in a torturous perpetual loop, from birth to death, to fulfil his prophecy every time. Everything was part of the plan, every little thing. Every little inconvenience, pain and death was intended. All of it was needed to bring the God of Fear here and bring about the Other Ending. We then managed to unlock the Cathedral door and all there was left to do was defeat Jaser in the fight with Verity. It took a few tries and some getting used to his patterns but eventually, we did it! Or did we? I thought that would be the end of it. Little did I know, it was only the beginning, things only got crazier from then on. And most certainly, the emotions that this game evoked in me at the end have NEVER been replicated by any other game or medium.

Thank you so much for this gem of a game @CellBits and @Dumativa, what an absolute masterpiece! I loved every minute of it, I'm just sad that I will never be able to experience it for the first time again 🥹💖 Patiently awaiting the DLCs and further games in the future!
