It takes about 50 seconds with a 120V angle grinder and 1/8" abrasive blade to cut the first of two cuts that are required to remove a link from this chain.
Considering the amount of noise and sparks, and that a portable angle grinder of lesser voltage would be underpowered comparatively, a would-be thief would have a difficult time getting through this chain without being noticed.
