Hi,welcome to our Channel True Up. There is a GNSS club on Earth with four major members: GPS in the United States, Galileo in Europe, GLONASS in Russia, and China's Beidou system. In the United States, everyone is familiar with GPS. However, although worldwide free and open GPS is beneficial to the general people, it is detrimental to the military of other countries. With the fast rise of the logistics business, GPS's function has grown in importance. To some sense, GPS has become inextricably linked to human existence. Why does China need to construct the Beidou system while the CPS of the United States is so powerful? Let's take a look at how powerful China's Beidou system is now. Why is it that even the United States is terrified of it? The United States began developing GPS in the 1970s. It took more than 20 years of meticulous research and cost a total of 20 billion US dollars to finish in 1994. In truth, the primary goal of GPS's original research and development is military usage, specifically intelligence collecting, nuclear explosion detection, and so on. It consists of 27 satellites, three of which are spares.
