At the 29th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29) held in Baku, Azerbaijan, a package of results was reached on topics such as the new collective quantification targets for climate financing (NCQG) and the global carbon market mechanism under Article 6 of the Paris Agreement.

The head of the Chinese delegation stated in his speech that this year marks the 30th anniversary of the entry into force of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. Over the past 30 years, the governance process of the Convention has faced various challenges; although it has not been smooth sailing, it has consistently moved forward. Humanity is a community with a shared future, and in the face of the climate crisis, we can only unite and cooperate to respond together.
