[ Ссылка ] I was still living in Ireland at that time. I had some free time on my hands and since I liked restoring things I decided to try and video this one. I was not really serious about restoring, it was more a pastime thing.

This is an original restoration of a GEC 64d bell set.

The bell set came in a variety of colors, namely red, light blue, black, ivory. I decided to go with Light blue since I already had light blue in my collection of spray paint. I removed the paint from the bells and left it with the copper exposed, I think it adds to the aesthetics of the bell.

I could sadly not test the bell, I do not have a telephone to test it with. If any of you know how I can test it without breaking it, please let me know in the comments.

The GEC 64d bells are semi-weatherproof and can install inside a house or in a reasonably sheltered position outside. They are ideal if you need a neat small bell that is easy to install. They can be fixed to a wall or shelf, or just tucked out of the way. The bell gongs are the same as those fitted to a 300 series telephone, so will have a loud melodious ring. The design and use of these bells date from the 1930s. The base plate is universal and is made so that any of the different sized gongs can be fitted.
