Here’s the thing about the Printing Press…
Arguably the most important invention in history
The printing press changed the way we communicate thoughts and ideas
In the early days of man, the only way to learn a skill was to have direct contact with someone else who knew it
Even when sharing stories, you never knew if you got the right facts.
But in the 1430s a German man named Johannes Gutenberg came up with an idea to speed up the process of printing.
He took blocks of wood with letters on them, and stuck the blocks into a frame. The frame was then rolled in ink and placed on the sheet of paper.
Because the letters were interchangeable, he could recreate any text.
This allowed the mass reproduction of ideas, scripture and even propaganda.
The common folk could now gain easy access to education, allowing anyone to be anything to which they set their mind.
