A short video showcasing Ashgill Force near Garrigill, in the North Pennines AONB in Cumbria. This impressive waterfall is popular with casual visitors as well as walkers, as the bridge under which it flows carries the B6277 between Teesdale and Alston and it's usually possible to park virtually on top of the falls. The South Tyne Trail crosses the Ash Gill not far downstream from the falls, about 1.5 km from Garrigill. For geology fans, the lip of the falls is formed by an exposure of the Scar Limestone.
