St Cuthbert's is a quiet, melancholy spot in the centre of Edinburgh. In spite of its location at the busy junction of Princes Street (next to the Garden) and Lothian Road - you can see Edinburgh Castle above the treeline - it feels far removed from the urban bustle. Funny to think that it is a stone-throw away from a fast food franchise and high street banks.
