Philippine Navy to receive two new Acero-class fast attack crafts from Israel by late 2024.
According to information published by MaxMontero on August 5, 2024, sources have confirmed that the seventh and eighth Acero-class (Shaldag Mk V) fast attack interdiction crafts for the Philippine Navy are expected to arrive from Israel by September or October 2024. The procurement of these Shaldag Mk V vessels stems from a contract between the Philippine government and Israel Shipyards Ltd. Signed in early 2021, this agreement includes the acquisition of nine vessels, with the first eight constructed in Israel. The final vessel, the 9th in the series, will be assembled in the Philippines.
