**update 3/4/2022: I'm unable to find a link to to this particular cap. I did find it rebranded and it fits a Suzuki LT-Z 400 and one of the answered questions says it fits a drz400s. For $20, it's worth trying, if it doesn't fit, return it. there is another one on Amazon for under $70 that does specifically fit a 400sm and it looks identical.
