In his address to the joint sitting of Parliament, President Ram Nath Kovind said that India has administered 150 crore doses of COVID vaccines in record time. "India's capability in the fight against COVID-19 was evident in the vaccination program. In less than a year, we made a record of administering over 150 crore doses of vaccine. Today, we are one of the leading nations of the world in terms of administering the maximum number of doses," he said. "More than 70 per cent beneficiaries have been administered second dose of COVID vaccine," he added. He also said that Rs 64,000 crore PM Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission will prepare the country for a health crisis in the future.
