I found this Maddox Secretary Desk on the Facebook Marketplace for free! It is the perfect piece to learn to restore furniture!
I am starting a new series, in which I am making over this antique drop top desk with hutch. It has water damage and a lot of scratches, dings and dents. My goal is to bring it back as much as possible to its original color and shine.
I have never done this before, so I might be a bit over my head with this project but quite frankly I don't care. The piece was destined for the landfill, I rescued it and maybe I can give it a new life!
In this episode, I repair broken pieces of veneer on the front of the drawers. It is a whole process but I think I managed.
Enjoy!
