Building on a solid foundation is one way to produce a dependable planter that offers the latest in precision planting technology.

That's what farmers can expect when they take a look at Massey Ferguson VE Series planters, says marketing product specialist Forrest Francis. In this report from Commodity Classic at Houston, Texas, Francis notes how Massey planters have used the field-proven White Planter toolbar and combined it with leading precision planting technology to produce a straightforward, accurate and accessible planter.

Francis takes RealAgriculture's Bernard Tobin for a tour of Massey's vacuum electric front full planter. He notes that the row unit can be factory equipped with a range of options from Precision Planting, including vSet2 meters, vDrive and Delta Force.  The planters also deliver capacity with individual row unit hoppers or a central fill system of up to 90 bushels, with liquid fertilizer and insecticide options also available.

The row units also draw on proven White Planter accuracy and longevity and can be fitted with Precision Planting add-ons such as SeedTube, which allows for increased planting speed while maintaining seed placement accuracy.
