In this video I build a Digital compass using the D1 Mini, D1 Mini OLED shield and what I thought was HMC5883 magnetometer. But actually the HMC5883 is a QHC5883 knock off chip. Board is marked GY-271, chip is marked DA5883. The only way it would work was to use QMC5883.h library. This is know as a fake chip that I purchased from Aliexpress a few years ago and got ripped.
