This is a quick video to show how to release your key from the ignition when the lock cylinder/theft protection doesn’t release it.

1.Place the car in park
2. Turn key to off position
3. Jiggle key (go to step 4 if stuck)
4. On the gear shift, click button until you hear the lock cylinder release key
5. Try to turn key completely off and take out the key

This has only been tried on the 2015 Chevy Camaro, I can not guarantee this will work on any other vehicle model/year/style.
