Avala tower was one of Belgrade's best known sights (202,87m high 60 of them being an antena)and was destroyed in April 29,1999 during the war by a bobmardment. It was the only tower in the world to have an equilateral triangle as its cross section. Its legs were a tripod. It was the tallest building ever destroyed until September the 11th,2001.
In December 2006 started the reconstruction of the tower and many fund-raising events have been held. You can also see [ Ссылка ]
