(San Pedro, CA) - Newly elected Asssemblymember Patrick O’Donnell (D-Long Beach), joined by hundreds of community and business leaders, family, friends as well as state and local elected officials, held a special ceremony celebrating his oath of office aboard the USS Iowa. “Today is a celebration made possible, in part by the men and women who served aboard this ship—but also by all of you” said Assemblymember O’Donnell. The ceremony featured an introduction by L.A. City Councilmember Joe Buscaino and a tribute from Congressman Alan Lowenthal, who Assemlymember O’Donnell worked for as a Capitol Fellow when the Congressman was first elected to the California State Legislature in 1998.
