Here's how the service side of the Ather 450X works. Ather alternates between minor and major services annually, or 5,000km apart. A minor service is mostly a diagnostic and a clean up which can happen at home. For a major service, Ather expects to see your scooter at the service centre and does diagnostics, clean up, inspects parts and replaces consumables on their service schedule. The Ather website is very clear and a good reference for the work load expectation. Ather offers three Service plans. Basic, Rs 999 per year covers only road side assistance. In this, service is Rs 500, plus consumables. The Lite and Pro, Rs 2,400 and Rs 3,600 per year — maximum 15,000km per year — cover emergency help, all service costs, including consumables and wear and tear parts. Pro includes home collection and drop off. All three are labelled Ather Assure incase you’re looking on the Ather website for more details.
