Wheel customization is a must on any car that I own. The SL55 is no difference. I typically go for 20” wheels on my Mercedes cars. A staggered setup is preferred. But I sometimes will simply stagger the tires. Wider in the rear, of course. A stretched tire allows a lower stance, preventing tire rub on the fender. But be careful not to stretch the tire too much. That can be dangerous. This setup works perfectly for me. 20x10.5 all around. 255/35/20 front. 285/30/20 rear.
