I found one of the coolest izakayas in tokyo by accident. It’s located in the neighborhood Nakano. What’s unique at this izakaya aside from the aesthetics is that it uses a charcoal grill in the middle to cook the fish. There’s a chef that rotates the fish so it’s cooked evenly. The fish was some of the best I’ve had in my life. This place is a hidden gem because it was only locals and there was no line.
