A massive fire broke out on the third floor of Acropolis Mall in the Kasba area of southern Kolkata on June 14.
The fire department received an alert about the blaze around 12:15 pm and dispatched at least 10 fire tenders to the scene. The firefighters managed to bring the fire under control, and as of now, there are no reports of any injuries.
"The entire area surrounding the mall was engulfed in smoke, leading to traffic regulation in front of the mall," stated a senior officer of the Kolkata Traffic Police.
