Draftsight is a 2D vector graphics package. It is fully GUI but also has a command line interface which borrows heavily from the industry standard AutoCAD software.
In this tutorial/walkthrough I take you through how to draw to set dimensions using global and relative co-ordinates.
My history with AutoCAD is from the DOS days so I am very familiar with the command line options and find it a very fast way to draw accurate images.
I use Draftsight since it is free to use (registration required) and find it very similar to AutoCAD. I used it to design the laser cut chassis for our 2015 entry to PiWars
It can be used as an alternative to Inkscape and I find it far easier to create accurate images to exact sizes.
It can be downloaded here [ Ссылка ]
and is available for Mac, Windows and Linux
For a list of commands the best place to look is in the Draftsight help system, click on the help menu and search for 'command' then click 'Command Reference' to bring up a list of all the keyboard commands
The commands I used, in no particular order are
l = line
c = circle
rec = rectangle
e = erase
tr = trim
ex = extend
fillet = fillet
chamfer = chamfer
