LG전자 전경련 탈퇴 선언
LG Group plans to leave the Federation of Korean Industries,... becoming the first major conglomerate to make the exit amid the biggest influence peddling scandal of the year.
The biggest contributor to the group, Samsung Group, is still a member, even though Samsung Electronics Vice Chairman Lee Jae-yong told lawmakers at a parliamentary hearing earlier this month the Group plans to leave the Federation.
The FKI is Korea's largest business lobby group with the membership of the country's top 600 firms.
It is currently facing allegations of coercing conglomerates into making major donations to two government-linked foundations allegedly controlled by the President's cofnidante: Choi Soon-sil.
