Tropical Storm Sally's forecast path shifted eastward Sunday night to show a landfall on Tuesday in extreme western Mississippi near the Louisiana state line. This would place some of the most intense impacts a little farther from New Orleans.
As of 1 a.m. Monday, Tropical Storm Sally's winds were still at 60 mph which was unchanged from Sunday afternoon. It was moving west at a slightly faster 12 mph. The center was 150 miles east-southeast of the mouth of the Mississippi River.
