The trial of Timothy Omotoso has been postponed to Monday to allow the state to obtain an authorisation certificate to centralise all the charges on the indictment. Defence lawyer Peter Daubermann argued that the Port Elizabeth High Court does not have the jurisdiction to hear all the counts contained in the indictment.as some of the alleged offences occurred in other parts of the country.
Timothy Omotoso and his co accused Zukiswa Sitho and Lusanda Sulani face a total of 97 charges which include rape, human trafficking and racketeering.
Jayed-Leigh Paulse has the details.
