NewsCorp Finance Writer Sophie Elsworth says the recent cuts to the JobKeeper payments will likely cause some businesses to overhaul their business models and operate with fewer employees.
JobKeeper recipients will see their payments further reduced on Monday with payment for full-time workers dropping from $1,200 to $1,000, per fortnight.
For part time employees, they’ll drop by $100 a week to $650 per fortnight.
“We will see some businesses be able to survive without it, but some businesses are completely overhauling their business models; they’re cutting staff or will be cutting staff,” Ms Elsworth said.
“We’ll see businesses operate, I believe, with fewer employees.”
