When children grow up in healthy homes, their interests, thoughts and opinions are nurtured by parents who use boundaries in order to guide their children towards healthy living. These parents teach their children how to think and love them unconditionally.
Children in unhealthy homes are not allowed to think for themselves, choose their own interests, or friends. Love is withheld if the child disobeys, so children will distort their own thinking in order to please their parents. They’re taught what to think, and unfortunately this continues as they grow up.
