Chakwal is a city inhabited by Hindus and Sikhs which still contains the story of the past. A town in Chakwal where relics of the past can still be seen today and are all part of history. It is the only village in Chakwal where the only non-Muslim family in the district still lives today. The family has a long history of bravery, full of hardships, troubles, martyrdoms and bravery in past.
In the 16th century, Baba Paraga founded the village of Karriala, which belonged to the Chiber tribe, and the Chibers remained in the town until the partition of India in 1947, which forced them to leave Karriala. The family of Ravinder Kumar Chiber from the 13th generation of Baba Praga Sahib still resides in Chakwal which is the only non-Muslim family in the entire district. Ravinder Kumar, the head of only one Hindu family, Hindu minority member, has also been a member of Chakwal District Council and Union Council. According to locals, this is the only Hindu non-Muslim family in the district to celebrate their festivals as well as Muslim festivals. The hindu family of chakwal also participates in Janaza and Fatiha Khawani of Muslims. Jagat Singh, the father of Ravinder Kumar Chhiber, was a landlord and a large landowner during the British rule. Jagat singh Family was not ready to move to india in 1947 partition but his his uncle Daleep Singh was murdered at Karriala in the clash of 194, Resultantly, they were moved to Dehli and stayed at Camp. From Dehli camp, Jagat Singh decided to return Pakistan Karriala and his wife and two sons refused to return to Pakistan. Jagat Singh returned to Pakistan, Karriala village and Took up residence in Karriala and remarried. His second marriage has children Ravinder Kumar and Surinder Kumar.
The three venerable martyrs of the Sikh religion, Bhai Sati das, Bhai Mati Das, and Bhai Dayal Das also belonged to this area of Chakwal, Kariala. Bhai Sati Das Born at 1621 at Karriala and Died in 1675 at old Delhi, Delhi, India. Father name was Bhai diwan kabul das. And were killed during the Aurangzeb era in the religious sikh movement. For the survival of every religion, the foundations of religion are soaked with blood. Similarly, the soldiers of Karyala village of Chakwal also soaked the foundations of their Dharm for blood for the survival of their Sikh Dharm. Bhai Sati Das and Mati Das, When Mati Das was put on a saw to be cut off with a saw in Aurangzeb's time, the executioner asked for his last wish, to which Mati Das said, "I have no desire, but when my body is divided into two parts, turn my face towards Guru Ji".
Yes, Mati Das, Sati Das were born in Karriala Chakwal in the family of Bhai Praga Ji. When Guru Band Singh Ji announced the formation of the army, Bhai Praga Ji offered his services and Guru ji handed over a Command of group to Baba Paraga Ji. Bhai Praga's entire family joined Guru. The series continued until Bhai Mati Das and Bhai Sati Das also joined the movement and were martyred by the then government in November 1675 while campaigning for Dharma. He is also mentioned in the book of Sikhs.

یہ چکوال کا واحد گاؤں ہے جہاں ضلع کا واحد غیر مسلم خاندان آج بھی آباد ہے، اس خاندان کے ایک بہادری کی تاریخ ہمیشہ سے قائم ہے جو تکلیفوں، مصیبتوں، شہادتوں اور بہادری سے بھری ہوئی ہے۔ 16 ویں صدی میں بابا پراگا داس نے اس گاؤں کریالہ کی بنیاد رکھی جو چھبر قبیلے سے تعلق رکھتا تھا اور اس قصبے میں چھبر تب تک آباد رہے جب تک 1947ء میں تقسیم ہند نے ان کو کریالہ چھوڑنے پر مجبور نہ کردیا۔ بابا پراگا جی کی تھلی (جہاں باقیات دفن ہوں) آج بھی یہاں قائم ہے، بابا پراگا صاحب کی 13ویں نسل سے رویندر کمار چھبر کا خاندان آج بھی چکوال میں مقیم ہے جو پورا ضلع کا واحد غیر مسلم خاندان ہے
بھائی ستی ستی داس اور متی داس اپنے گرو سے بے پناہ محبت کرتے تھے جب متی داس کو اورنگزیب کے دور میں آرے سے کاٹنے کر ختم کرنے کے لیے آرے پر چڑھایا گیا تو جلاد نے آخری خواہش پوچھی جس پر متی داس نے کہا میری کوئی خواہش نہیں، لیکن میرا دھڑ آرے سے دو حصے کرتے ہوئے میرا رخ گرو جی کی طرف ہو۔
