Lets Cook, "Mawa Modak."
WRITTEN RECIPE:
Ingredients:
1. Grated Mawa (Khoya) (250 gms)
2. Kesar (Saffron) (15-20 strands)
3. Kaju Powder (Cashew Powder) (2 Tbsp)
4. Elaichi Powder (Cardamom Powder) ( 1 Tsp)
5. Crushed Pista (1 Tbsp)
6. Powdered Sugar (1/2 Cup)
Procedure:
1. In a pan take 250 gms of Mawa and roast on low heat for 5-10 mins.
2. Then add 15-20 strands of Kesar and mix well.
3. Remove the mixture onto a plate and cool down to room temperature .
4. Then add 2 Tbsp of Kaju Powder, 1 Tbsp of crushed Pista, 1 tsp of Elaichi Powder, and 1/2 Cup of Powdered Sugar which is add gradually. Keep kneading the mixture, add Powdered Sugar as per taste.
5. Take a Modak mould and add small portions to the moulds and press to give the mixture shape. Remove the excess mixture around the Modaks and serve.
