The Election Commission of India announced schedule for assembly polls in West Bengal, Assam, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Puducherry. As per the schedule, voting for the assembly elections to these four states and one Union Territory will be held between March 27 and April 29. Votes of all five assembly elections will be counted on May 2.
As per the poll schedule, assembly elections to Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Puducherry will be held in a single phase, while the assembly elections in West Bengal and Assam will be held in eight and three phases, respectively.
