Pour a beverage and sit back and relax as I take you on an August Garden Tour in my zone 6 Mid Missouri Garden. Today I'll show you how things are looking during the dog days of summer. While I'm fortunate to have such a long growing season, that also means that I have to take care to keep my herbs, veggies, flowers and perennials performing their best. By mid-August some plants in my garden are getting tired, just like many of us gardeners. I'd encourage all of you to make a regular practice of taking monthly videos or photos of your gardens and make note of things you want to repeat next year, things you'll want to adjust and plants you'll want to say "no thank you" to planting again.
