Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi's film has been titled Merry Christmas. The film is a thriller directed by Andhadhun fame Sriram Raghavan. It will go on floors in April and will be shot in Pune. An official announcement regarding the film's title is still awaited.

Reports about the film's title had been doing rounds for quite some time. Ramesh Bala shared the news of the title change on Twitter and wrote, "#MakkalSelvan @VijaySethuOffl - #KatrinaKaif - #Andhadhun Dir #SriramRaghavan 's new Hindi movie titled #MerryChristmas. A Thriller.. Will be shot in #Pune in April..(sic)."

Meanwhile, Katrina Kaif is awaiting the release of Sooryavanshi. The film stars Akshay Kumar in the lead role and Ranveer Singh and Ajay Devgn in extended cameos. Sooryavanshi was supposed to hit the silver screens last year but the film had been put on hold due to the novel coronavirus pandemic. The film is now expected to release in April. However, an official announcement from the makers is awaited.

On the other hand, Vijay Sethupathi recently confirmed that he has opted out of Aamir Khan's Laal Singh Chaddha. He was supposed to play the role of Aamir's friend in the film. Vijay is currently awaiting the release of Tughlaq Darbar and Kadiasi Vivasayi. The actor was last seen playing the antagonist in Telugu film Uppena.
