This video lumps several families of turtles into a generic group "freshwater turtles". The one thing they have in common, whether they be primarily land lovers like the wood turtle or mainly water dwellers like the Australian pig-nosed river turtle, they all need to come on land to lay eggs and they all need freshwater (although some can tolerate brackish water).
