Microsoft is set to release the first major update for Windows 11 since it went GA in October 2021. Windows 11 22H2 is the new major update of Windows 11 that will be released sometime around October 2022. It contains major new features, enhancements, and other capabilities not found in previous versions or updates of Windows 11. One of those new features is a feature called Smart App Control. Smart App Control is a new application security feature in Windows 11 22H2 that can help users protect against malicious applications such as ransomware, potentially unwanted programs and applications, and other nefarious tools hackers may use to compromise en-user systems.
However, there are a few limitations of the solution as we discuss in the video that may be deal breakers for users especially in enterprise environments.
