This is a short physical warm-up for teachers to use in drama studios with their students, or for anyone to follow at home. It provides a basic warm up, appropriate to follow before undertaking a rehearsal, drama workshop or movement work. The warm up is led by Sita Thomas and contains members of the National Theatre's Young Studio. The warm-up includes aerobic, mobilisation, stretches and balances to music, followed by some group games.
PLEASE NOTE: Not all warm-ups are suitable for everyone and this or any other warm-up may result in injury. To reduce the risk of injury, never force or strain, use the exercises only as intended and demonstrated, and follow all instructions carefully.
