This video shows the lack of visibility pilots have when landing in fog conditions (and why operations are slowed to low-vis operations). The Qantas flight can be heard on approach as it passes over the HIAL Lights (approach lights) for landing on the Runway 01/19 then it disappears completely once landed in fog.
