Smithfield Foods is pleased to announce the nationwide expansion of Smithfield Renewables, designed to help meet our goal to reduce the company’s greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions 25 percent by 2025. Smithfield will be expanding our manure-to-energy projects in North Carolina, Missouri and Utah as well as launching new programs that target GHG reductions and bolster Smithfield’s sustainability efforts.
