When parents and professionals try teaching a child with autism to learn words, many find the autism child repeating words. So, they aren’t really understanding what they are saying, rather just repeating the thing they can remember. In today’s video we’re going to review the best way to get child with autism speaking, how you can start teaching a child with autism to learn words, and how you can ensure you’re preventing echolalia in children with autism. Teaching a child with autism to talk can be tricky at first, especially if you say too much, the key is, when you’re talking to kids with autism, use few words. Much of how autism and language development improve, is based on how well you’re able to focus on one word, or a few words, and how you’re limiting language.
