47772 and ex works 47813 appear from behind the wall beside platform 11 having worked the 5K06 Crewe-Llandudno and return Crewe Works test train. 47813 had become the first Class 47 to receive Great Western Trains livery and along with 47772 it is seen returning to Crewe Works.
47827 departs with the 10.40 Edinburgh-Brighton followed by 47845 on the 15.10 Liverpool-Poole.
Sporting faded RfD livery, 90140 passes through light engine after which 37426 arrives with the 14.52 Holyhead-Crewe followed by 86208 on the 1V62 Warrington RMT-Bristol Temple Meads mail.
The opening of the Warrington terminal at the end of 1997 saw an end to mail trains calling at Preston, Manchester and Crewe after over 100 years.
37426 blasts out of platform 12 with the 17.17 to Bangor as 86430 waits with the 5A94 Euston Down Carriage Sidings-Warrington RMT.
Next comes 87012 departing with the 15.35 London Euston-Glasgow Central, 90010 with the 17.20 Preston-London Euston and 37414 arriving and departing with the 17.21 Birmingham New Street-Holyhead.
The final shot sees 37415 arriving with the 16.50 Holyhead-Crewe.
