Robert Robinson catches up with Joseph Heller at his apartment in The Apthorp, New York. There, Heller reflects on the success of his debut novel Catch-22 and the genesis of his second novel, Something Happened.
They then move to Heller's office in City College, Harlem, where he teaches creative writing, to talk further about what makes a good writer and whether, indeed, that particular skill can be taught.
