On 13 February 2010, over 15,000 US, NATO, and Afghan troops took part in the largest battle of the Afghan Campaign and the last major battle of the Global War on Terrorism. Fighting lasted for years until the coalition left the Helmand Province in 2013. For all the Marines, Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, and coalition forces that fought their, they will always be "Marjah Marines".
